Pilot – Add wings to your dream


If you have a passion to fly and love travelling to new places and you have a deep fascination to work in the air then you can consider this as your career.
Being a professional pilot, they fly and navigate aeroplanes, helicopters, and other types of aircraft. Airline pilots work for specific companies, transporting people and cargo on fixed schedules, and they are responsible for take-off and landing of the planes safely at the destination, while commercial pilot works for companies that offer charter flights, rescue operations, or aerial photography.
Roles and Responsibility


·        The elementary responsibility of a pilot is to fly passengers and cargo safely to the destination
·        Ensure the safety of passengers, the aircraft and its crew.
·        Observe and keep continuous watch of the weather conditions.
·        Keep good coordination between the cabin crew and ground staff for safe flight take-off and landing.
·        Ensure that the systems of the aircraft are in good working conditions.
·        Has to have good technical and cockpit instruments knowledge.
·        Keep in touch and communicate with the air traffic control while piloting the aircraft.
·        Conduct pre-flight checks on navigation and operating systems.
·        Calculate the fuel intake and load and fuel the aircraft accordingly.
·        Brief and maintain regular contact with the flight crew throughout the flight.
·        React appropriately to ensure the safety of passengers and crew during emergencies and adverse circumstances.

·        Calm and Confidence – Being able to cope in the high-pressure situation, must take action and make decisions with assuredness because you are certain that you can handle the consequences of your actions.
·        Self- Motivated and Multi-Tasking – Being the most senior member of the staff in your working environment, it is up to you to be motivated and can simultaneously and effectively manage and take action on multiple priorities and projects at once.
·        Team Management – should have the ability to manage complex tasks and deadlines within given parameters of time that are critical to mission accomplishment.
·        Problem Solving – One must have the ability to solve complex problems that might prove challenging to another person. Your problem-solving involves an ability to simultaneously consider a variety of options and variables to come up with a speedy solution.
·        Adaptability – You should have the ability to swiftly take into consideration a variety of changing circumstances and change your behaviour or actions quickly to take advantage of the differing opportunities.
·        Technical Skills – this is the most important as they should be well versed what are the tasks they need to do before and after the flight. Whereas they should be able to spot the errors in the systems and rectify it. Should have a good hand and eye coordination.
Apart from these skills and personality traits you need to get enrolled with a good college and obtain a college education, pass your entrance exam and training, get your certification by completing some specific flying hours to earn pilot’s license to work as a pilot and excel in your a career with your expertise, knowledge and experience.
